Syngenta Vegetable Seeds has announced its latest endeavor, a state-of-the-art Seed Health Lab in Hyderabad, India, solidifying its dedication to bolstering quality control measures. This groundbreaking facility stands as a pinnacle of innovation, poised to serve farmers not only in India but across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
Nestled in Nuthankal village near Hyderabad, the pioneering lab emerges as India’s premier dedicated seed health facility. With an investment totaling $2.4 million (INR 20 Cr), and spanning 6,500 square feet, the lab symbolises a beacon of hope for local farmers. Equipped to conduct 12,000 virus/bacterial tests annually, its potential for growth remains limitless, promising a steadfast commitment to agricultural excellence.
Championing global seed stewardship
In the words of Nishchint Bhatia, Head of Asia Pacific for Syngenta Vegetable Seeds, “high-quality, healthy seed is the foundation of success in the field for our customers.”
