The initiative, dubbed Sujimoto Rice Farm Estate, encompasses a 30,000-hectare area and signifies the company’s commitment to revolutionising Nigeria’s agricultural sector, according to a statement by Dr. Sijibomi Ogundele, the Group’s Managing Director.
The project originated from a proposal sent by Sujimoto to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, highlighting the potential of Plateau State’s fertile land and climate for agricultural development. Governor Mutfwang enthusiastically endorsed the partnership, noting its contribution to achieving food security goals.
Interestingly, this collaboration extends beyond rice production.
