News in brief:
– LVMH is advancing regenerative agriculture through partnerships focused on sustainable leather, cotton, and wool supply chains, showcased at the Future Fabrics Expo 2025.

– These initiatives support soil health, biodiversity, and traceability as part of the group’s broader LIFE 360 environmental strategy.

At the Future Fabrics Expo 2025 in London, French luxury giant LVMH highlighted its growing commitment to regenerative agriculture and sustainable raw material sourcing, initiatives that resonate strongly with the global agricultural community.

The expo featured two dedicated pavilions showcasing LVMH’s work with start-ups and agricultural innovators. One pavilion focused on partnerships transforming textile waste and circularity, while the other spotlighted groundbreaking agricultural practices that aim to reshape the luxury industry’s supply chains from the ground up.

Key agricultural collaborations included Louis Vuitton’s Regenerative Leather Project, a pioneering initiative built around six pillars such as soil health, biodiversity, animal feed, and pasture management. This project aims to establish clear regenerative criteria for the leather industry, reinforcing the role of agriculture in sustainable fashion.

Another major initiative featured LVMH’s partnership with Turkish cotton producer Söktas on a regenerative cotton program. The collaboration emphasises soil restoration, water preservation, traceability, and input reduction, goals aligned with sustainable cotton production standards.

Also on display was LVMH’s work with the Chargeurs Group on NATIVARegen, a program focused on building sustainable wool supply chains in Australia using regenerative farming principles.

These agricultural-focused efforts are part of LVMH’s broader environmental strategy, LIFE 360, which emphasises climate action, biodiversity protection, circular economy, ethical partnerships, and transparency.

For those in agriculture, LVMH’s model presents a powerful case for integrating regenerative farming into global value chains, demonstrating that environmental integrity and high-value production can go hand in hand.
