This initiative was revealed by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, during a meeting with the leadership of the Mile 12 International Market and Farmers Association. The meeting aimed to establish a collaborative approach to boosting agricultural production and regulating food prices for residents.

Commissioner Olusanya highlighted the government’s ongoing support through farm inputs and funding, and expressed plans to allocate land in areas like Ito-Ikin (Epe) and Badagry with sufficient water resources.

Farmer representatives expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to partner with the government and their challenges, including land insecurity and displacement. They reiterated their willingness to cultivate more land with government support.

This initiative reflects the Lagos State government’s commitment to addressing food security concerns through collaboration with farmers and addressing their needs.
